Brick Restoration

Here is a situation where a parapet wall was constructed without the use of thru-wall flashing, causing water infiltration. The brick was repointed several times over the years, but the real problem needed to be addressed. In the case, it was necessary to begin by shoring the roof from the inside.

Working on a section at a time, the brick and stone had to be removed to below the roof line.

A new block back-up wall was built with thru wall flashing installed. Steel lintels over windows were replaced.

Repaired or newly fabricated stones were replaced while rebuilding the brick veneer.
